Residency Programme

Eu Yan Sang Residency Programme is for physicians who have passed the Singapore TCM-physicians Registration Examination (STRE) and have obtained their registration licence issued by Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB). The physicians have no clinical practice experience after obtaining licence or have not achieved the minimum standards required of Eu Yan Sang physicians, including the minimum clinical practice experience.

Supervisory physicians are responsible for the resident physicians throughout the residency program. In addition, the resident physicians will be attached to Mentoring Physicians for well-rounded exposure to different conditions such as Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics and Oncology. They also sharpen their skills in various treatment options - acupuncture, cupping, scraping and Tui Na.

The duration of residency is dependent on individual’s progress, with a minimum period of 12 months and a maximum period of not more than 2 years. After completing the residency program, the resident physicians will be promoted to physicians and are able to practice independently in Eu Yan Sang group of general clinics.
